I may typing this from the midnight hum of downtown Vancouver but editing these pictures makes me realise how much I was overwhelmed by natural beauty this past week (and no, I don't mean mineral foundation.) British Columbia has utterly taken me by surprise; did you know it's covered in temperate rainforest? I could easily post about 50 shots of mossy, beardy things hanging from branches and studies of primeval tree carcasses, but I'll resist. If the monsters from Where The Wild Things Are existed, this is where they would live. And did you know oysters take between 4 and 7 years to grow, and each shell supports up to 30 other species of sea life? And that 'Ordinary World' by Duran Duran is the only song to survive a seaplane landing to? Me neither.
